Okay, I'm not the Tax Man, my husband is. We were talking about this, and there's been a lot of publicity wafting around, but evidently, there are still folks who don't know this.

--If you worked in 2007, but didn't make enough to file return,
--If you receive any type of payment from the Federal government, but don't file a return (Social Security, Veteran's Benefits, govt assistance), then you MUST file a 1040A in order to receive a Stimulus pay-out.

Even if you don't NEED to file the return for tax purposes, NOT FILING will mean NO STIMULUS CHECK.

FYI: The Stimulus money is not a rebate--unlike what was done several years ago, when we received a REBATE that then reduced the amount of your return the next year, these Stimulus checks will have no effect on what you owe/receive via your Federal return in 2009.

You have until April 15.
