So, I met a lot of people. Many I'd never met before, while some were folks I'd met at Lumos or Prophecy.

I hate listing names because I'd miss so many people. Suffice it to say that I was thrilled with the turnout at the Snarry meet-up. There were a few surprise attendees, which was nice. Don't you just love putting faces to names?

The Chicago Hilton needs a crash course in diversity training, and since I truly despise the word 'diversity', that's saying a mouthful. It seemed as if we were an embarrassment to the hotel, and some of its other clientele. Tooooo bad.

My two roomies ([info]amand_r and [info]tripperfunster) were the criznap! We were definitely out of control. Nuff said.

Drunkeater party...mmmmm, vodka.

Grant Park...HP taboo charades...Slytherin ruled!

One thing I do want to mention...I never win anything when it comes to trivia games/raffles, etc, so imagine my surprise when I actually placed in the trivia game at the Snarry meetup. They had multitudinous gorgeous prizes on a table, and I was in the first three or four people up there. The minute I saw it, I knew I wanted it.... [info]elfwreck made a printed and bound copy of the 2006 Snarry Games fics. I pounced on it and claimed it for my own! Thanks, [info]elfwreck! It means all the more to me, knowing your little hands made it. I saw the PDF CD, but I had to have the printed one. I like paper copies.

I only went to one panel. Awwww, c'mon, a schedule?!! Too much like school, although there were a few I was sorry I missed. I enjoyed just letting the wind take me where it would...

At Prophecy last year, I remember thinking to myself that that con would probably be the last well-attended one, given that canon was done, and the fact that many of my flist seemed to be writing in new fandoms. I was wrong, it seems....

And next year, Azkatraz, god willing!

It was great meeting you too! And fandom taboo--you did yourself proud with that, and gave us all such a great time. Azkatraz next year!
