ART REC: The Tipping Point
Title: The Tipping Point
Artist: [info]undunoops
Pairing: Harry, Snape
Rating: G
Warnings: None
This was tribute art done for [info]djin7 on the [info]pressie comm, as a thank-you gift at the end of the 2009 Mixed Snarry Games.

I like everything this artist does. Have tried, over the years, to pinpoint exactly why. First, she tends to use a single color--charcoal or sepia tones. And her characters aren't the movie ones--they're ruggedly individual, and she tends to focus on a central scene using just two characters, characters that radiate emotion. Some of my favorite Snarry smut is hers, but this one caught me by surprise, because for me, it's the jumping off point for many of my own post-war Snarrys: whether it's really Snarry at this point at all is immaterial. Her title tells it all--that point at which something tips, turns over, changes. You can see that happening in this picture, in Snape's eyes on Harry's face, Harry's eyes on Snape's hands. I've gone back to look at it so many times, and it'll probably end up as my desktop in the very near future.

Thank you so much for the rec - I would have never seen this otherwise.
