Summary: Since Voldemort's death, winter has lasted for three years.

A picture is worth a thousand words. In this case there's more than one picture, but it's made me wish I were an artist, because it would take me thousands of words to tell this story as well as the artist has. It's a Harry/Draco story, of how things change and come to a head, how the realization that it's time for a change comes gradually, and although the decision comes painfully, in the end the choice to move on is the best one. Set to beautiful, melancholy music, this one will break your heart a bit and stay with you for a long time.

As part of my Christmas present from amand_r, she commissioned art from veridian_dair, who did a beautiful couplet based on my story Starry Night. It's a scene that occurs near the end of the story, and she got it down perfectly.

So, unless you live under a rock, you know the snarry_games Art Games are in progress. I get up every morning and can't wait to see what's been posted, and there've been some great offerings. I do want to plug one in particular that was done by veridian_dair, entitled His Dream Wizard, done for a scene from my merry_smutmas fic Occam's Razor. She chose one of the central scenes of the story, and I'm grateful and humbled that she chose to do it. Art for my fics always makes me teary-eyed.

In the Livelongnmarry auction, I was fortunate enough to buy svartalfur's translation services, and he's finished a beautiful German reworking of Throwaways. If you can read German, he's posted Wegwerfhelden in his German journal. This is the first time I've been able to read one of my own fics that's been translated, and my cats, to whom I'm reading it aloud, will MIAOU that he's done a superb job!

I've recently had the pleasure to meet an artist named veridian_dair (cathyrf on LJ). She's being doing HP art for a while, but only recently has started to do Snarry.(Her first one was drawn for my Games fic, and you can see it here.)

Via email, we've been talking over the past several weeks about drawing porn. She's a fan of Snarry, and after the pic for my story, she wanted to do moar...you know, take their clothes off...show body parts. I've *cough* been encouraging her, because I really love me some smut like the way she draws, and there can never be enough Snarry art, y'know?

Summary: (fic excerpt) They ended up with Harry sitting between Severus' legs, resting back against his chest. As they watched the rest of the sunrise, Severus poked once at the knot with his branch to quell the stirring of the stymied Willow.

Letting out a breath, Severus let his eyes drift in the direction of Hogsmeade. Without a trace of anxiety, he asked Harry quietly, "What will we do?"

Smiling, Harry looked in the same direction, then back to Severus. "It'll come to us."
