I just discovered that when I posted my story, As the Gentle Rain, I somehow left out a crucial section. This is my one and only Bill/Snape story (D/s, BDSM), so if you're going to read it, heed the warnings. I've added this to the story where it should've been to begin with. (headdesk)
I'm posting the excerpt here for readers who've already read the story. It takes place just after Bill finishes up at Hogwarts, and encompasses that very first time that he and Snape 'get together' that summer. Rating for this excerpt is NC-17.

Summary: Severus has been watching Ron for a long time. He has come to terms with his own lot in life, but can he help Ron devest his own cumbersome titles too?
One of the nice things about being an Admin on Sycophant Hex is that I'm often dragged kicking and screaming exposed to pairings and subjects/genres that I'd never seek out on my own. I read a great deal of HG/SS there, as well as Weasley family stories and Lupin-fic. Not my first preference, but hey, isn't that what makes fandom so great? There's a play-room for every one of us.
On occasion, in my validating travels, I come across a story, like this one, that makes it all worth while. Sort of like finding buried treasure.
In this story, it's about a decade after the war. The one shot starts with one of the ubiquitous Ministry Balls. Snape watches the trio, and muses over how fortune has treated each one of them, and it's Ron who's caught his attention this night--to tell you why would spoil the story, but let's just say there's some very frank conversation between the two of them, who discover they have more in common now than either of them would've ever anticipated, and Snape, in a rare moment of gregariousness, undertakes to--dare I say it?--take a risk to help a fellow sufferer. There's some endearing dialogue during which Snape has to parry the 'I'd like a blowjob but I'm not gay!' defence. It's delicious to watch it fall apart.
Beautifully written, it's a refreshing read on a rare-pair.
